What's best armor now ?
Ok, I had a full set of glads armor, and from what people are saying, it's now crap for pve (perhaps it always was ). So what exactly is the best all round armor for Pve for a warrior? I was thinking platemail, any suggestions ?

Personally, the only use I could ever see for the Gladiator's set in PvE was extra energy for running (and even that was not needed).
I stick to good old 90AL with +10 vs. Physical for my Warrior. Dragon Armor, Platemail, and Dreadnought's Armor have those stats. |

^ Dreadnought's
It's what I use, mainly becuase I am a Hammer warrior and without a sheild I need all the armor I can get. Dolyak Signet FTW |

I use full Glads for general PvE, have for months.
For tanking duty, I haven't decided whether to scrap the knights or not. |

If you use a build with 13 strength, yes, it's nice

Gladiator's is still good since it provides a larger energy pool for builds that make use of energy. If your build does not then look for something else - those mentioned above or legionnaires if you are always using a stance.
Best bet is to have a couple of armors, perhaps gladiators for use when you need the energy and a big AL set for when you don't. |

Usually you take Gladiators armor for the extra energy and nothing has changed about that so I don't even know exactly what you mean.

now, there is no best armor. they're a lot more balanced with each other.
you actually have to make a decision based on your playstyle/build which armor you want to have. |

I've posted this in another thread, but it's pretty relevant here...
ALL Warrior armor provides a base 100 AL versus physical and 80AL versus elemental. So, if you focus on the differences after that... Chainmail - no bonus Dragon/Plate - +10AL vs Elemental Sentinels - +20AL vs Elemental (but need 13 strength) Legionnaire - +10AL vs Elemental, +10AL vs Physical (only in a stance) Knights - -3 Damage Reduction vs Physical Berserker - +35 Health Gladiator - +7 Energy A quick analysis: If you're farming trolls/other physicals, Knights seems the way to go. If you're a strength-based tank, Sentinel is the way to go. If you're a tactics-based tank/runner, Legionnaire is the way to go. If you want PvP armor, either Gladiator's or Berserker (for spike protection) is the way to go. If you want generic armor that's pretty good for all occassions, Dragon/Plate is the way to go. With the update, I would say that all armor types now have their benefits. If you're too lazy (or don't have the inventory space/cash) to switch armors, Dragon/Plate is the best overall choice. |

My ele is SO laughing at my warrior now. Too many armor choices to decide! I may just have to wait until the next chapter is released and see what new armors are developed. :P

Onto the topic, if you have Prohecies only then choose the armor set, if you have Faction then why not mix and match? the armor skin is the same but you can get various stats. I have the 15k Gladiator armor (i love this bikini ) The +7 energy does really helps on dishing out dmg (indirectly). You could use Sentinel for chest and legging since those are hits the most so the extra +20AL will help, the other parts could be +health or +energy or some sort os vs some type of dmg. Mix it up will give you the best "armor" IMO. |

Dragon and Plate provide 90AL + 10AL vs. Physical = 100AL versus physical Sentinel is 100AL vs everything, so it provides 100AL versus physical as well. Quote:
